Leading a dynamic team that supports actuarial financial systems while prioritizing work to align with initiatives, business requests, and production support.  Accountable for the results of the team related to compliance with applicable policy, procedure, guidelines, controls, and law. Manages process change activity ensuring strategic alignment.  

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $115,000-$145,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of assigned business areas, environments, and strategies, as well as Mutual of Omaha practices and the insurance industry.
  • Assures that objectives, standards, policies, business plans, controls for the team are implemented, reported and monitored. 
  • Assures that work is monitored for quality, and that work improvements in performance and productivity are identified and implemented on a continuous basis. 
  • Actively shares knowledge through timely feedback, coaching, mentoring, and holding direct reports accountable for performance and development.
  • Builds a diverse and inclusive team culture that respects and values the unique strengths and differences of associates. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong knowledge of actuarial systems and finance and/or accounting practices preferably in insurance industry.
  • Ability to build relationships through maintaining networks of contacts who are useful in achieving business results.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
  • Ability to break down more complex problems into systematic parts for resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, including nonverbal, verbal, and written, for effective interaction with various stakeholders and business partners.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics,  finance, and/or accounting
  • Actuarial systems experience
  • Knowledge of financial processes/systems.
  • Experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)/Agile environment.
