  • Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Creates renewal letters and packages, running trial alternates for the purposes of plan design changes working with the Renewal Executive and as directed by Renewal Executive and/or broker. Assists with spreadsheeting competitive rates through review of current proposal options from competition. Works with Renewal Executive and/or rep on rate increases, positioning of cases through paid basis, claims and additional documentation. Supports the Renewal Executive through additional system administration functions as needed. Completes revisions as needed for renewals within standard timeframe. Identifies add-on sales opportunities for the purpose of meeting set financial targets. 
  • Business Planning - Proactively and collaboratively works with Renewal Executive to plan upcoming renewals and strategies to attain divisional, office and individual targets and goals. 
  • Negotiation - Evaluates and understands case demographics for the purpose of negotiating current and renewal rates with Renewal Executive and communicating to underwriting and/or broker and/or client in order to meet identified retention objectives. 
  • Relationships - Alongside Renewal Executive, forms, identifies, and manages existing and ongoing relationships with key internal partners, brokers and broker firm's staff for the purpose of leveraging, negotiating and renewing business. 
  • Service - Services and/or assists in servicing complex client issues and requests. When needed help Renewal Executive manage benefit fair meetings for groups that meet certain requirements. Attends key broker outings and/or offsite meetings as needed. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 1 year) in sales, insurance, and account management, with a strong focus on client relationships
  • Candidate must possess or attain licensed agent/producer status within 180 days of entry into the job. 
  • Ability to travel up to 1-2x quarterly to clients/brokers and some conferences and a valid driver's license.  
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
