For Dennis Thongphet, his internship at Mutual of Omaha has proven to be more than a job. It’s been an opportunity to gain real-world experience and grow.
“Within the first week, I was working on real projects and gaining real, hands-on experience,” Thongphet said.
“It’s really cool to see that a lot of what I’ve studied actually applies to the work I’m doing right now.”
Thongphet is a cybersecurity intern and serves on Mutual of Omaha’s Identity Management team. He’s mainly focused on making sure associates can access the systems and tools they need to perform their jobs in a secure environment.
In addition, Thongphet helps to improve the way internal systems communicate, working to increase efficiency and reduce the manual steps involved.
